Yoga for Weight Loss

Being overweight is a result of many factors. It is much more complex than an imbalance between intake and output. It is a state of a physical, emotional, and chemical or neuro-hormonal imbalances, much of which has its origins in the type of foods we eat, limited physical activity, emotional disharmony and our very stressful lifestyle. This special focus class is a brief survey of how the integration of Yogic principles in our pursuit of physical, spiritual and emotional wellness, is the bedrock for creating a life of harmony, good health and well-being by cultivating mindfulness. Each class will focus on a particular topic including stress reduction, proper nutrition, exercise, Yoga practice including a discussion of the Yamas and Niyamas, practicing Asanas (postures), Pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation and journaling as tools for restoring homeostasis (internal balance and stability). We recommend bringing a journal.. 6-weeks for $68.
