This 8-week session continues the journey of developing a home practice with an emphasis on building upper body strength, and deeper into the poses covered in Part 1. Prior yoga experience requested although It is not necessary to have taken Part 1. We will continue to use the book, 30 Essential Poses by Judith Lasater as our guide. Yoga Basics for Women – Part 1
March 8-April 26, 2012

This class will focus on creating a basic home practice with attention to spinal alignment and healthy joint function. We will also apply specific yogic practices to address women’s health issues to help us move gracefully through the phases of life with the support of community. We will use the book, 30 Essential Poses by Judith Lasater as our guide. (available for purchase at the studio). Session $85 for 8-weeks
Couples Valentine’s Yoga Workshop

Chakra Yoga Workshop

In this workshop you will learn and practice yoga postures, meditation techniques, mantras, and mudras (hand seals) to activate the chakras (energy centers in the body). Information about the chakras can help enhance personal healing and meditation practices to calm the mind and heal the body.
For beginning yoga students as well experienced yoga practitioners.

Weekend Workshop with Lynne Minton

Indulge in a weekend of exploring asana, philosophy, pranayama with master teacher Lynne Minton.
Lynne has been teaching yoga for over 30 years and has studied with BKS Iyengar, Judith Lasatar and many master teachers in the Iyengar and Anusara tradition. Lynne travels all over the world teaching workshops we are honored to have her here for the second time in Yellow Springs.more about Lynne

Friday 1-4pm: Yoga Theraputics for the Lower Back (for yoga teachers and teachers in training) $60
Friday 6-8pm: Chill Out with forward bends and twists, restorative yoga and yoga nidra. All levels. $35
Saturday 10am-12:30pm: Explore Balance: standing balance, small arm balances and tall arm balance. $45
Saturday 2:30-5pm: All about AUM: Includes history and philosphy of AUM, Asana sequence for meditation preparation, Various meditations and AUM chants, including Gayatri Mantra. $45
Sunday 10am-1pm: Backbends and Shoulderstand. $55
All classes will include some yoga sutras, pranayama and meditation basics. We request that attendees have some previous yoga experience.

Workshop will be at our new location in downtown Springfield, Ohio. Our new studio is located in the newly renovated historic Bushnell Building. The studio is large enough to accommodate workshops, with adequate mat space, beautiful south facing windows and radiant floor heat.
