Monica Hasek, R.Y.T.
Monica and Robert came back to their roots of Ohio to be closer to family after living in Oregon and Alaska. They founded Yoga Springs Studio in the spring of 2004. They are grateful to local yoga teachers and the community for supporting their vision of creating a space for healing, community and yoga.
She is a registered yoga teacher at the ERYT200 level with the National Yoga Alliance. She is the director of the Yoga Springs Studio Teacher Training program. In 2003 she received a 200-hour Hatha yoga teaching certification from Lynne Minton of the Inner Dance Yoga Studio in Anchorage, Alaska. Her teaching style emphasizes safety, focusing on healthy alignment of the spine and joints.
She continues to study with Lynne Minton, Judith Lasater, and various teachers of the Iyengar and Anusara traditions. In 2005 she traveled to Northern India to study yoga and deepen her understanding of Hinduism and Buddhism.
Her ultimate yoga practice began in April 2007 with the birth of her daughter Olivia. As a mother with the guidance of her new teacher, she applied her years of practice on the mat, to the challenging moments of motherhood.
Monica’s light hearted approach to yoga encourages everyone to feel at home and nourished at Yoga Springs Studio.
